PGA TOUR Player Support

Players on the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour have joined with fans, volunteers, sponsors, and non-profit organizations to bring the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program to life in communities coast to coast.

During the 2009 World Golf Championships – CA Championship, PGA TOUR player Camilo Villegas lent his support by recording a public service announcement promoting the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program. To watch the PSA in English, click here. To watch the PSA in Spanish, click here.

At THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola 2009, TOUR player Heath Slocum and his wife, Victoria, made a sizeable donation to the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program on behalf of two participating organizations, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. The Atlanta-based East Lake Foundation also shared in the donation.

“I am excited to be playing here at home in Atlanta in THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola,” said Slocum. “My wife, Victoria, and daughter, Stella, are very happy to be in the position to donate to some great causes that are near and dear to our hearts and community. I have suffered from ulcerative colitis since the late ‘90s and since moving here, have been working with the Georgia Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to help educate and find a cure for this debilitating disease.

“We also know how involved Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has been in our community and the game of golf, and since our daughter was born, we feel even more compelled to take care of other children and families in need. It is also with great pride that we are able to give back to the community in which this great golf course is located and help those less fortunate with a donation to the East Lake Foundation. We are so lucky, and we hope that our gifts make a difference and that we are able to do this for many years to come.”
